Jacalyn has vast experience with dyslexia and related challenges having spent 20 plus years teaching in the classroom, tutoring, coaching, and offering academic support.
Jacalyn has been providing programs to people from all walks of life, aged from 5 to 53 years old.
The 30-hour one-on-one Davis programme is provided over a 5-day week which returns you to your normal school or work environment with a minimum disruption but with new skills and confidence to enable you to perform better.
6-8 hours of follow-up review are included and you have access to unlimited email and telephone support. If required Jacalyn will also visit schools to help them support the dyslexic student in the classroom.

What is Dyslexia?
We use the Davis Dyslexia Correction Program, Davis Reading Program for Young Learners, Davis Math Mastery Program and Davis Attention Mastery Program.

The Davis Reading Program for Young Learners is designed for emerging learners and “at risk” children ages 5-7 years old. This parent-coached program prepares children with the essential tools to learn to focus and create solid foundations for learning language. Because parents are involved, they learn best how to help their children learn the fundamentals of reading, writing, and spelling.
Provided on a modified schedule (typically 9 am - 12 pm) over a two-week period, you and your child will be guided through using clay and the Davis Symbol Mastery techniques to:
- Master upper- and lower-case alphabet letters
- Techniques to catch and resolve confusions with letters caused by shape (i.e. b, d, p, q), sounds, or letter formation
- Gain awareness and understanding of basic punctuation marks
- Learn fun and engaging ways to master those pesky "sight words"
